I completed this mural with 4th year students in Santa Sabina in Sutton, Dublin 13.

 In the designing process of this mural the students gave me ideas of what they wanted their mural to be like.They wanted an uplifting,  bright , colourful mural with birds, butterflies, flowers and people.

 With their suggestions I drew up the mural.  The students and I painted the wall using bright bold colours.

These pieces are inspired by my daydreams along with flowers and plants from the botanical gardens. They are collage made from coloured paper and wallpaper.
While making this work I was reading a book called 'The 5 Rules of Thought' by T.Browne  which influenced the titles of the pieces.

Embroidery

Embroidered Bag

I made this bag from a top I bought in a charity shop on capel street, a pink scarf I had from topshop and zip from wooloen mills. I renforced the material from the top with embroidery backing. I stuck the material and the backing together with bondaweb. I then embroidered into the material  with wool and thread. The handle is made from scraps left from the top and the scarf. All sewing was done by hand.
